Lunchtime O'Blog

Haven't done an update for ages, so thought I'd write a quick one over lunch. Been making a table from the reclaimed NZ wood. The idea being that this'll be better for working at, maybe even dining, but lets not get ahead of myself here.

This picture shows the now familiar to regular readers 'woodshaving fest'

The table still needs waxing and the detachable leg sorting out, but it'll look like this up.....

....and like this down.

Genius eh? Isambard Kingdom Brunel would be impressed with the over engineering in this, especially the hinges which are designed for truck tailgates. I was just looking round the local ironmongers and these seemed to fit the bill. No delicate joinery here.

Finally, one of the plus points of working at home on occasion is the chance to enjoy the weather. Recently thats been more of the snow/sleet/rain variety, but today I had a conference call with colleagues whilst working on my tan. Nice.
